Lion Shivani Goenka
Lion Shivani Goenka, a distinguished Melvin Jones Fellow, was born on April 14, 1973, in Kolkata. She completed her primary and secondary education at Ashok Hall Girls’ Higher Secondary School and earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree from Rani Birla Girls College, Kolkata. Currently, she serves as a Director at Goenka & Co. (Sales) Private Limited, an esteemed company established in 1939, involved in Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited dealerships and real estate ventures.
Lion Shivani is married to Lion Vinamra Goenka, an active MJF member of her home club and district. Together, they have two sons, Siddhant and Raghav, who are also members of the Lions Club.
Since joining the Lions Club of Kurseong in 2013, Lion Shivani has been an ardent contributor to its activities. Serving on the district cabinet since 2019, she has consistently demonstrated exemplary leadership at both the club and district levels. Her efforts were especially lauded as the Program Chairperson for MD 322’s Global Service Week and the two-day International President’s visit to Kurseong, where her coordination earned appreciation from global delegates.
In recognition of her contributions to Lionism, Lion Shivani was selected as a Lions Ambassador for She Shakti 24, an initiative by Lions Council of India in partnership with News18. She was among only 20 women across India chosen to represent Lions International, underscoring her exceptional achievements and dedication to service.
